Rise of liberty has come along way within the past year. With the new siege mode I would definitely pick this game up. Its especially impressive considering its made by one guy and is getting updated regularly.. This game has real possibilities. It's got a good stable engine. The game maker frequently updates the game and listens to the community regarding features and tweaks. I look forward to the addition of the campaign.. Fun Adictive battle machanics. I love this game. Never written a Steam review before but what Jack has created here is amazing and for the price you just can't beat it. This game has huge potential and I'm very excited for future updates and new things that Jack has planned for it. Some ideas I have that I think might be good is more unit types and more songs for the flute players since as of writing both factions only have one song that they play on repeat, one is which is also the main menu song, and possibly add a naval element to the game. The only annoying bug I have found is sometimes when a colonial is hit by a cannon the body will glitch out and cause it to expand and either cover up a massive portion of the ground or sky and makes it bug out lol. Also another thing that would either make as an amazing mod, expansion, new game, etc would be a Civil War version of the game. At current state its amazing anyways and I think that if you are a history buff or just like huge 18th century battles then this is the game for you.. I like it. Got a couple of hours into it so far, costs less than going out to a movie. Looks like the dev is into it and updating, and there is a campaign mode on the way. I'll keep an eye out for the updates, but even in its current form its good for a rainy day to just mess around.. Amazing game, really good graphical effects, ragdolls, and the historical battles. I love how many bots you can put in one game, but I did wish it would have a mechanic where you could go to birds eye view and command the soldiers in formations and stuff from there, instead of in first person. Can't wait for the new siege mode!!!!!. Bug in game that I have that pretty much renders the game useless is that I cannot for the life of me get my character to stop freaking moving forward. either idk what im doing or this game is useless.
